Questions, Queries and Quandries
Are you a live band or do you use backing tracks?
We do not use backing tracks. Our position in the market is to deliver our clients a full Live performance, there are a host of other bands using backing tracks and that is fine, but you may as well hire a karaoke singer or DJ. We pride ourselves on our musicianship and are confident we'll deliver a memorable live show.
Do you play requests?
If there are specific songs requested, we ask that notice is given and we will endeavour to learn specific songs. The best time to clarify this is to ask during the initial booking. It is common to be asked on the night; whilst we have a vast selection of songs, we cannot perform all songs. ( check our setlist )

Who chooses the Songs?
Generally, we would select the songs from our extensive repetoire. We have a wide range of tunes from the classics through to current contemporary hits and we ensure the songs cater for each events needs. We are familiar with the genres that will keep your audience dancing and we will try to retain the energy of the crowd. We are happy to provide you our full setlist and you may wish to pick and choose, this can be discussed during the booking. Rest assured we will monitor the crowd and adjust songs accordingly, we have the flexibilty to change our repetoire seamlessly.
Do you take breaks?
The simple answer is we will agree with you during the booking how breaks are structured. In general we would typically look at one to two breaks over a 3 hour period, we are aware that the energy of the room can drop off so we try to minimise breaks. However; we will always work with our clients to cater for the event needs.
How is your time worked out?
During the initial booking we will agree the duration of the event. Please be aware that our contracted time is based on the agreed start/finish times. - ( for example ) if we are booked to play from 8.00pm to 11.00pm that is 3 hours. If you have speeches or other activities that exceed 8pm this will make up part of our contracted time, so if those activities went over by 30mins, we would play from 8.30 pm to 11.00pm
( 2.5 hours of music) Please ensure the MC is aware of these timelines. if we are required to play past these times and additional fee may apply .
Do you accept requests to play longer?
Yes; we are more than happy to continue playing. Usually, when this is requested we know everyone is having a ball so why not be a part of it. There will be an extra charge per band member, this can be discussed during a booking?
How many in the band?
Our band typically consists of five musicians - Drummer, Bass, Guitar, Keyboards, and Lead Vocalist. Our ensemble provides a good mix of instruments that allow us to cover a wider range of songs.
Do you travel?
Most definitely, between us we have covered most of New Zealand. Currently most our work is in the South Island. Travel arrangements and details can be discussed during the initial booking query. Rates for accommodation and travel costs will be clarified during the consultation.
Do you have a Cancellation fee?
We would prefer to discuss this at the time of the booking, each event has varying degrees of risk and one size does not fit all. We understand your situation can change; however, please understand late cancellations reduce our opportunity to find alternative work , or we let down other potential clients, additionally we plan our own private time to make your event possible.
